ImageReady is an application that was conceived for web development rather than effects intensive photo manipulation. Its specialized features include animated GIF creation, image compression, image slicing, and HTML generation. It possesses some extended features that are used for creating and editing graphics. Photoshop, on the other hand, is a graphics editor, which was cultivated and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows.

It is the industry standard for graphics editing. Photoshop is best for manipulating and editing photographs. ImageReady lacks the advanced image editing capacities of Photoshop. However, Photoshop quality can be negatively affected by enlargement. It can also be problematic with texted based graphics. Even though ImageReady is bundled with Photoshop, it can still work independently.
