Quiche is known to be similar to a custard pie, but instead of it being sweet, this is known to be more savory. This can come with a lot of fillings that will make it even more savory such as mushrooms, ham, and some greens like spinach. This needs to be made with eggs, or it will not have the type of consistency that it is supposed to have.
A frittata is very similar to this, but the main difference of this is that it will not have any crust. Some may even say that it kind of looks like an omelet, but it will not be folded. One difference between the two is that the quiche may have a lot more heavy cream as compared to the frittata.
