First of all, Ireland is famous for the icon named St. Patrick. He was credited to have converted the nation to a Christian country, away from the pagan gods, and also chased away the snakes. His festive celebration is also a very famous one that is known both in and out of the country. Another very famous thing, probably the most famous, that Ireland is known for is Guinness; the beer that has been brewed and produced since 1759 at St.
James's Gate brewery in Dublin. According to history, Guinness' recipe was said to have been brought into Ireland by Arthur Price, a Welshman. Price had a hired servant named Richard Guinness, and Richard had a son named Arthur Guinness. Arthur Guinness was actually able to lay hold on the recipe for the drink, and he took it up from there, just to take the credit on the popular Guinness drink.
