The correct answer to this question is Krokodil. This drug is a desomorphine, and it is similar in nature to opioids and heroin. Krokodil is popular among the drug community of Russians. It is estimated that over one million Russians are addicted to this drug.

Though it is similar in nature to heroin, many choose it because it is lower priced. With the lower price comes more risks, for Krokodil is more dangerous, as it is made at home with a number of toxic substances such as lighter fluid, iodine, and painkillers. Over time, it rots away the body parts.

The drug named Krokodil has become popular among the Russian drug user community. It is believed that over one million Russians are hooked on this illicit drug. Those who use Krokodil choose this drug over heroin because the price of the drug is so much lower.

Unfortunately, along with a lower cost, Krokodil is also known for being even more dangerous than heroin because it is usually homemade with many miscellaneous agents, such as lighter fluid, painkillers, industrial cleaners, and iodine. The drug’s chemical components make it very dangerous, and it could even cause gangrene, which rots away body parts.

Desomorphine is the type of drug it is. It is an opioid derivative of codeine. Much like heroin and other opioids, it possesses an analgesic and sedative effect on the body, and it is massively addictive.
