People are unable to sleep and snore at the same time because the body has different ways of responding, depending upon the type of sleep that a person is experiencing. When one is snoring, this means that they have not reached REM, which is a stage of sleep. REM is asleep that is combined with eye movements, types of dreaming, and fast breathing.

REM is also when people dream of different things. The main reason for this type of sleep is the amount of stress that people are going through from day to day. Stress prevents a person from having a calm sleep because their brain is unable to rest.

Dreaming only occurs when you are in a deep sleep, which means that you are already in the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) state. When you snore, this means that your level of sleep is not deep yet. Snoring also means that there is an obstruction that is making it harder for air to pass to and from your airways.

The body may be conscious of this, so you are unable to get into a deeper type of sleep. You need to remember that there will be different stages that you have to go through before you sleep. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be for you to reach REM.

Snoring is less likely to occur during the REM phase of your sleep because REM sleep is the cycle when your dreams come out to play. There are five phases of sleep and four stages of the REM phase. REM or rapid eye movement phase is the final phase in the sleep cycle. Phases three and four accounts for deeper sleep and snoring happens when we are in the deep sleep stages.

These are stages in which night terrors, sleepwalking, and even sleep chatter may occur as well. During the deep sleep, we come to the REM stage, where the brain activity and eye movements are concentrated. In the REM stage, our brain is as vigorous as much as when we are awake and explains why snoring and dreaming do not mix.

The main reason why people cannot sleep and snore at the same time is due to the fact that the body usually has different responses depending on the type of sleep that we are experiencing. When you snore, this means that you have not reached the REM stage of sleeping yet. It is when you are going through REM when you normally dream of different things. The people who snore right now may have increased steadily over the past years.

This is due to the fact that people are living more stressful lives. If they are able to sleep, these are usually disturbed, and they do not usually have pleasant dreams that are supposed to make them feel better. There are various things that you can do to stop snoring, and eventually, you can get to the REM stage so that you can also sleep properly.
