Rules are standards set for conduct and behavior that a group of people must follow in a certain region or situation. In most cases, rules are set in organizations such as family, school, and offices. They are set by individuals or the organization.
On the other hand, the law refers to the body of binding rules and regulations, customs, and standards established in a community by the legislative and judicial authorities. Laws are simply legal variations of rules. The consequences of breaking the law are more severe than breaking a rule.
Laws are created by the government and enforced by the executive arm of the government, such as police and prosecutors when a person breaks the law, the individual in charge of committing a crime and will face a penalty for such a crime.
