The first season!
Many people agree that the first reason for the 13 Reasons Why is by far the best season.
The first season was accepted by many, and it was a massive success. This led to the production of subsequent seasons. However, the series is no longer as good as it was at the beginning.
Also, the first season was based in the novel Thirteen Reason Why by Jay Asher. Over time, more storylines and cases were added to the series, and all of these did not meet up to viewers' expectations.
Netflix has announced that a new season (season 4) is already produced. It was also made known that the new season will be the last season to serve as closure for the television series.

The first season of 13 reasons why is still the best season of the show as far as I am concerned. A lot of people are of the opinion that the second season is needless; everything should have ended with the first season. If the mysteries that surrounded the death of Hannah have been revealed in the first season of the show, the show would have gotten more positive reviews.
The third season of the show has been reviewed by so many, and the succeeding episode was rightly placed. However, the first season comes with a lot of surprises, especially from episode one, which serves as the foundation for the whole story.
The first episode was rightly built up in a manner that would entice you to see the second season. The second season of the show did not come as expected. We can only hope for things to get better in the fourth season of the show.

The best season of 13 Reasons Why is probably the first season. There are a lot of people who are saying that this is the season that showed a lot of depth. Some people may find it problematic, but they feel that they are still hooked with all of the things that are being shown in the 13 episodes. By the time that the second season rolled around, people started to wonder why there is a need for the second season.
The thing is, the story already started to break free from the original story. There are just some stories that should be short enough in order for people to understand what it is trying to convey. Longer stories do not necessarily mean that they have more sense as compared to shorter stories.
