There are about six branches of philosophy. All these branches are active areas where philosophers discuss general problems, and other fundamental problems that are thought-provoking. These branches include; Metaphysics, Epistemology, Logic, Aesthetic, Political philosophy and Ethics. - Epistemology is the branch of philosophy which deals with knowledge.

It is mostly concerned with how knowledge can be acquired, how do people know what they claim they know. - Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy which studies fundamental principles about life. Here, there are two major branches of metaphysics, Ontology and Cosmology. - Logic refers to the study of criteria and principles of valid thinking about how a particular problem can be solved. - Aesthetics is the branch of philosophy that is concerned with concepts like art, beauty and even taste. Ethics is the branch of philosophy that is concerned about morality, human values and principles that guide human behavior. - Political philosophy is the branch of philosophy that studies how people should be governed and constitutional foundation of the authorities in the land.
