The first homeless day wad held on October 10th, 2010.
The general idea about world homeless days came from an online discussion between people working to respond to homelessness from various parts of the world.

The world homeless day aims to draw our attention to the need of the homeless ones. World homeless day is usually celebrated with a summit, which includes presentations, educational workshops, and also fundraising events to help the homeless.

Homeless people face enough of challenges from a health problem like exposure to elements like heat, cold, rain, and they lack good nutrition. The lack of income makes it difficult to access good housing and other basic need.

The homeless day is to help us focus on the need of homeless people by educating celebrating and donating to create an opportunity for the homeless.
