Some people may assume that Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are the same, but there are some slight differences between the two that you should know that will help you assess which one you should learn. Traditional Jiu-Jitsu will help stimulate a real fight, and you will know how to emerge from this fight victoriously. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is now being used as a competitive sport.

Those who train in BJJ would try to fight with each other in competitions. BJJ will also have more grapple moves as compared to the traditional Jiu-Jitsu martial art. The training methods of these two are also different from each other.
