Usually, when we watch videos on YouTube, we are contented with the default video that is first played. Meanwhile there are different levels of quality in this video, the HQ and the HD. First of all, what do these mean or stand for? HQ stands for High Quality, while HD represents High Definition. When you view a video in HQ, it will give a better quality than the standard video. The video will appear finer, and it has an increased bitrate. When videos are viewed on HD, they take the resolution that is used on TVs.

A standard video has a resolution of 480p, but HD videos have a 720p at minimum and 1080p at maximum resolution. HD videos are usually slow on connections, especially if they are of big resolution. That will result in a larger file size and more consumption of connection subscription. Typically, HD videos are better than HQ videos, which is also better than the standard videos.

Have you ever watched a video and the picture was grainy or blurry? That is because the video is not of high or sound quality. Some of the videos on youtube are of poor quality. If you want better quality videos to watch, you need videos that are HQ or HD because HQ stands for high quality and HD holds high definition.

The difference between videos with HQ and HD has to do with what makes it better. HQ prefers quality, and it makes the picture look better. HD refers to the resolution, and it makes the video better. Also, HQ videos take less time to load than the HD videos. So, if you are in a hurry, it is better to use the HQ videos.
