Discipline and Punishment are two different English words, but they might be saying the same thing if we consider in a particular context. Discipline and Punishment are two essential factors needed by any society which craves to experience peace and sanity. It is in Human's nature to be willing to disobey some existing rules and regulations, and that is where Punishment comes in to check the excesses of some people and bring them to order. Discipline can be used in a lot of ways. Discipline means the process of training someone; students to impart knowledge onto them. There are so many ways through which a man can undergo one discipline or the other, some happen consciously while some happen unconsciously.

Some take place in a formal setting, for example, when you are studying a particular course in an institution, that becomes your discipline. Discipline also takes place in an informal setting. Punishment, on the other hand, goes hand in hand with discipline. Punishment at times is needed to instill discipline onto someone undergoing a particular training
