If you have ever traveled to Europe, you may have stayed in a hostel or hotel during a vacation. They are similar in that they both allow people to pay money, and then they are given room to stay in for the night. However, there are main differences between the hostel and the hotel. Hotels are usually company-owned and more secure. They are geared toward families and business people to stay in when they travel overseas.

Hotels can also be found in America. Hostels are usually used by single people who are backpacking through Europe and don’t have a lot of money because hostels are generally cheaper than the standard hotel. There are probably more hotels than there are hostels.
