Flank steak is a type of steak that is found in a certain place on the cow. It is usually located near the abdomen or the bottom part of the cow’s chest. This type of steak is known for being lengthy in size but slightly thinner than other cuts of beef from the steer. London Broil is a dish that uses the flank steak from the cow and it is broiled.

Sometimes before it is broiled, the cook will take the flank steak and marinate it in some type of spices or juice. Sometimes, marinating is done overnight. Then the steak is broiled for a certain period of time. The key part of making the London Broil besides using the right kind of steak is to slice it correctly.
