You may not know about the differences between the Ultra ATA and SATA when you do not have any background in the computer, but if in case you need the information, these are some of the details that you should know. Ultra ATA is known to be a parallel ATA type. The SATA is more serial when it comes to its design.

Some people refer to the Ultra ATA as an IDE device, but you know that the SATA cannot be considered to be an IDE device at all. SATA will not make use of different bulky connectors and may not have as much power as compared to Ultra ATA. These two can be used for different purposes.
