Connective tissue develops from the mesoderm on any animal tissue that can be found in between tissues all over the body. Epithelial tissue, on the other hand, is located on the organs’ blood vessels and outer surfaces. Connectives tissues help in protecting and supporting the body while epithelial tissues help in absorption of nutrients to the body.

Epithelial tissues can be found in the kidneys, lungs, and skin while the connective tissues can be found in ligaments, nerves, and bones. Epithelial tissues are surrounded by blood capillaries that allow them to absorb the nutrients from what we consume. The epithelial tissues are not surrounded by blood capillaries that mainly protects the cells and the organs they surround.
