A lot of people assume that jogging and running are the same but actually, they are not. Jogging is known to have a smaller pace. You would need to move faster as compared to doing a brisk walk, but it will not be a fast as how you would move when you are running. When you are already moving faster than six mph, this means that you are already running.

Some people prefer jogging because they feel that they can set their pace more and they do not get tired as quickly as they would if they would choose to run. Some want running because they find it awkward to jog around. Jogging may sometimes require a little bit of grace to do well.

If you don't really study or check the difference between jogging and running, you might easily think the two forms of exercise are the same. There are some differences between jogging and running. Jogging is simply a form of exercise in which you run at a slower rate compared to when you are practically running. The first difference is the pace or the speed at which the two forms of exercise are being practiced. Jogging is usually advised for people in order to have fitness of the body.

Running on the other hand is also a form of exercise but it is usually practiced in sport. When you are running, there is a level of seriousness you put to it because there is no way you can be running if there is nothing chasing you or probably you are chasing something. But when you are jogging, there is no big seriousness in it, you might decide to relax anytime you feel like doing it. Also, when you are running, you tend to burn a lot of calories compared to when you are jogging.
