Easter is a religious holiday, which is celebrated once a year. This is a holiday that Christians celebrate. On this holiday, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated, which is why some call it Resurrection Sunday. The Resurrection is when Jesus rose from the dead after his crucifixion, in which he died for the sins of his people.

Easter is a festival and the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The festival is celebrated among Christians all over the world. Jesus Christ is believed by the Christians to be the Savior of the world. The birth and the death of Jesus Christ including his resurrection had been prophesied by many prophets in the Bible even before Jesus Christ was born. The celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is seen as the completion of God's loving grace towards humanity.

God redeemed his promise by using Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for our sins and shortcomings. Today, Christians all over the world usually observe the celebration of His resurrection and it is usually after the forty days fasting period. This period is considered to be the best time to think of God's loving-kindness towards mankind. Churches and Christians celebrate this period by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and by extending their love to the needy.
