Human brain is one of the most important parts of human body, aside the fact that it controls most biological operations in the body, its overwhelming functions can be looked down upon. The brain together with the spinal cord constitute the Central Nervous System. There are millions of nerve that are connected to the brain for proper coordination. The brain is divided into three parts, we have the forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain. The forebrain is made up of the cerebrum which is the largest part of human brain and is associated with higher brain functions like thinking and actions, hypothalamus and thalamus.

The midbrain is made up of the tectum and tegmentum and the hindbrain consists of cerebellum (this is also known as the small brain and is similar to cerebrum, it regulates and coordinates movement balance and posture), pons and medulla, the medulla leads to the spinal cord.
