Depending on what medical degree you are going after, it will determine how long you are going to be in school before you are fully finished. In general, in the United States you are looking at spending between 8-15 years in school to fully complete the requirements of becoming a medical doctor.

This includes the undergraduate degree, then specialized degree, and then onto the residency required to finish the course. For those that are interested in becoming medical doctors, it is recommended that you talk to someone in the field to get a full understanding of what you are looking at before beginning, as it is an expensive degree to undertake.
