There is only one system that produces hormones and it is called the endocrine system. There are several glands that make up the endocrine system including the pituitary gland and the thyroid gland to name a few. These glands and other parts secrete hormones into the circulatory system so that these hormones can more to the different organs in the body in order for them to function properly.

One disease that affects the endocrine system is diabetes which is probably the most well-known disease based on the endocrine system. So, it may seem that there are a large number of hormonal systems in the body but that is only because the hormones produced by the one hormonal system affects all the other organs in the systems.
