A prohibited area refers to any area (airspace) within which an aircraft is not allowed to fly. Such areas are established mostly for security reasons. Many countries have prohibited areas, some of these countries include: India, Australia, united Kingdom, Turkey, Ukraine, Republic of China, Peru, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Hungary, Greece and many others.. Some of the places in US that have been marked as prohibited area include:
Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia
Amarillo, Texas, Pantex nuclear assembly plants
Washington, D.C, U.S capitol, White House.
Thurmont, Maryland, site of Presidential retreat Camp David.
Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota.
