Jupiter can be viewed with the naked eye, and you can see Jupiter right now in the night sky. Jupiter is the brightest object in the sky, and with a simple set of binoculars or a small telescope, you can see it and some of its satellites. Jupiter appears as a very bright light in the sky.

Through a modest telescope, you can easily see the cloud bands on Jupiter, and it’s moons. Jupiter is said to be the brightest object in the sky other than the moon. Jupiter rises eastward at around 10 pm, and it shines brightly in the south the rest of the night. Some say the planet appears red.
