Gravity is a great thing. We have known about gravity since ancient history times. Gravity refers to the magnetism within the earth. This means that everything moves toward the center of the earth.

For instance, if you dropped something from your hand, it would naturally fall to the ground because the ground is closer to the center of the earth than anywhere else. Even if you are walking at a brisk pace with your arms and hands down at your side and drop something from your hand, it will drop straight down to the floor due to gravity.

You would have to be moving very fast and it would be faster than probably you could run in order for something to move in a different direction if it fell from your hands.
