Chemical engineering plays an integral role in agriculture as lots of plant protection activities depend upon chemical of inputs. Inputs such as herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, and fertilizers are used in agriculture which nowadays is in chemical form. It helps for plants and animals grow faster, yield higher amounts of food, growth in more severe environments, and are more resistant to disease and posts.

The agriculture industry directly employs 20 percent of America's workforce. Agriculture engineers work in research and development, production, sales, or management. Continued food production is the most important commodity on the Earth. It currently feeds 98 percent of people in the world.
