The layer of air that surrounds the earth is called the atmosphere. The atmosphere is comprised of layers based on temperature. The layers of the atmosphere include the troposphere, the stratosphere, the mesosphere, and the thermosphere. About 99 percent of gases in the atmosphere consists of nitrogen and oxygen.

The troposphere is the lowest part of the atmosphere. It contains about 75 percent of all of the air in the atmosphere. The lowest part of the troposphere is called the boundary layer. The stratosphere extends upward from the tropopause to about 50Km. It contains much in the atmosphere.

The mesosphere is below the stratosphere. The temperature again decreases with height. The thermosphere lies above the mesopause and in this region temperature again decreases with height. The exosphere contains oxygen and hydrogen atom. The region above about 500km.

The correct answer to this question is the atmosphere. It is layers of gasses, and most people refer to it as air. As it is surrounding Earth, the atmosphere protects the planet by taking in the radiation from the Sun. It is also responsible for regulating the extreme temperatures that happen during the time between day and night. The atmosphere is mainly made up of oxygen and nitrogen.

Breaking it down, the atmosphere is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. It is also comprised of small percentages of neon, carbon dioxide, helium, and argon. Everyday activities that humans partake in are also in the atmosphere, including smoke and dust.

The atmosphere is the layer that surrounds the earth and resides thousands of kilometers above the earth’s surface. The atmosphere consists of gases, which are referred to as air, that are safeguarded by the earth’s gravity, surrounding the earth, and forming its planetary atmosphere.

It is made of three major components of the earth’s atmosphere: nitrogen, oxygen, and argon. The atmosphere preserves life on this planet by creating pressure allowing for liquid water to exist on the surface, absorbing ultraviolet solar radiation, warming up the surface through heat retention (also known as the greenhouse effect), and decreasing temperature extremes between day and night.

Air composition, temperature, and atmospheric pressure vary with altitude and air that the plants can obtain for photosynthesis, and the air the animals breathe is found only in the earth’s troposphere.

The layer of air that surrounds the earth is called the “atmosphere.” One of the reasons why the earth is habitable is because of its atmosphere. It will have the power to protect the people from the harmful rays of the sun plus all of the other components that may cause people to die. Take note that the atmosphere is made out of different gases that will make photosynthesis possible.

There are also different life activities that may occur because of the earth’s atmosphere. There are some recent changes to the atmosphere though because of the different things that people are doing. Some layers are becoming thinner while others are becoming thicker.

The layer of air that surrounds the earth is called the atmosphere. About 99 percent of gases in the atmosphere consists of nitrogen and oxygen. Other gases such as neon, carbon dioxide, argon, and other gases constitute the remaining percentage of gases in dry air. It is important to note that water vapor and dust are also part of the atmosphere.

Each planet has different atmospheres, probably due to the composition of gases in each planet. In fact, some planets do not have any atmosphere. Some findings showed that the percentage of some gases is very low in the past.

And that more gases were released into the atmosphere due to the actions of the early volcanoes. Scientists also believe the presence of free oxygen in the atmosphere is due to some processes like photosynthesis. The atmosphere also reduces the intensity of the ultraviolet radiation, a harmful radiation, coming from the sun.
