The movement of the body will not be understood if you do not know the various anatomical planes. The three anatomical planes that are involved in the body’s movement are the following: sagittal, frontal, and transverse.

The anatomical planes have been created solely to help understand the human body better. These three anatomical planes are based on the movements that people make. To further understand the anatomical planes, you also need to be familiar with some of the terms that are often used.

Anterior and posterior are often used. Anterior means the front of the body and Posterior means the back portion of the body.
