I don't compliment people all the time. I like complimenting some people more than others. My biggest compliments have to go to my favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer. They're awesome and cool and fun, but most people compliment even more.
Only when something about someone strikes me as really special. I rarely give compliments, so when someone recieves on, it s genuine. When someone s feeling down, I ll compliment them to cheer them up. I m not sure how often, but I try to be sincere. I know that people love getting compliments, and that makes them like me more.
People like being complimented, and compliments make them like you more. But you have to be careful not to overcompliment people and seem fake. Be sincere. If you rarely compliment someone, there are probably many things that you could compliment them about that probably seem trivial.
