The correct answer to this question is Wives. Wife is a singular word because it is referring to one. When a word is a plural, it is referring to more than one. Singular and plural words are both nouns, which is a person, place, or thing. Usually, to change a singular word to a plural, an "s" can be added to the word.

For example, the word book becomes plural when an s is added to the end of it, making it books. However, in this question, we can see that making it plural is not that simple because the f needed to be turned into a v and an es is added to the end.
