Yes, Caesar was a loyal man. Julius Caesar got married after his wife Cornelia died while giving birth to her son who was stillborn. He got married to Pompeia. Pomepeia was caught having an affair with another man named Clodius. Clodius was prosecuted and Caesar did not give any evidence against Clodius at the time of trial. Caesar later divorced Pomepia. Caesar remarried, he got married to Calpurnia.

The second wife of Julius Caesar was named Pompeia. Caesar and Pompeia were married in 67 BC after he served as quaestor in Hispania. His first wife Cornelia died the previous year while giving birth to her son who was stillborn. When his wife was caught having an affair with another man, the man was found and prosecuted for blasphemy.

Caesar did not give evidence at the trial against this man because he did not want to put Pompeia under suspicion. When his wife was suspected of wrongdoing, he could no longer associate with her, even though he said he knew nothing about his wife’s betrayal.
