Education is expensive in the US because of the increase in the demand for a higher education. More students attend colleges more than before. The US Government increases subsidies to counteract the higher cost, this cause more students to attend schools and the cycle continues.
To cut the long story short, the US Government financial support to the education system does not match up with the high demands of the people. The educators in these institutions are paid more than most countries and most of them are paid from the income gotten from student fees.

There are half-dozen possible causes for education being so expensive in the US. However, I have discussed a few of them only. So, let us talk about those reasons.
One of the major reasons is that college tuition is too high and seems to only be increasing rather than decreasing. And this is justbecause less government funding is being given to the institutions of the United States. Many states have cut their higher-education budgets and now it costs a lot to even attend a community college.
Sports teams are also another reason due to which the US education system is so expensive. A lotof money is expendedin supporting sports teams such as buying uniforms and helping with traveling expenses. By the time the states are done paying for the activities of their sports teams, they only have a little left over for general education. And of course, Bureaucracy of the US is also supporting as equal as these to make US educations so expensive.
These are some of the reasons because of which some of thestudents across the US cannot afford to go to a school.
