Capybaras are social and peaceful animals, and they also maintain relaxed body language. They generally reside in groups of 10 to 20 individuals, and they are herbivores. They have the appearance of a cross between a rat and a pig, and they are the biggest rodent in the world with a top weight of 66kg. They are semi-aquatic mammals that enjoy large water bodies, are expert swimmers, and will deter predators by staying underwater for several minutes, and they only mate in the water.

They are mostly found in South America. They have such a gentle nature that other animals will flock to them, and cats, kittens, puppies, monkeys, rabbits, birds, and all kinds of animals have been photographed cuddling with this endearing animal. They will also spend time playing with all the different animals. The major threats to the capybara include puma, eagles, jaguars, and ocelots.

Some people will take in the capybara as a pet, and they get along so well with other animals; it will not be a problem if you have a dog or cat. The only thing to contemplate with this is that these animals like to swim, so that a swimming pool would be ideal for these creatures.

A lot of people are usually shocked about capybaras because this is a type of rodent that is considered to be friendly. This is a highly sociable creature that a lot of animals would treat this well too. This type of animal is a rodent, but it can grow up to four feet. They are also semi−aquatic.

This means that if you would like to keep this as pets, you can. The only thing that you need to do is to make sure that you have a pool wherein they can swim from time to time. They can interact with a lot of animals properly too, so this will not be a problem if you already have some cats or dogs in your home.
