The correct answer to this question is fishing. The reason why fishes hold the title of being the most diverse group is that there are over 33,000 species of fishes. This number is more than all the other vertebrate group species combined.

When it comes to the most diverse group of fishes that there are, bony fishes will hold that title. Bony fishes will have skeletons made of bone tissue, which is different from other fishes that have cartilage.

After fish, the next diverse animals are birds and reptiles. Each animal group of those have over 10,000 different types of species.

Out of all the given vertebrate groups, fish is considered to be the most diverse. There are thousands of species of fish that are available. In fact, the count of experts who study vertebrates is about 33,000. If you would compare it with the number of other vertebrates that are available, you will see that they are far more than the others.

Reptiles and birds will also have a lot of species that are available. If you would check, they would have 10,000 each. This explains why those who love bird watching will always find something to see. There are just so many that are waiting to be discovered in various parts of the world.
