There are many different movements that happened during the history of Europe. These movements and eras usually involved and reflected art, music and literature that defined this period of time. For example, one movement became known as the Romantic era or Romanticism. It occurred near the end of the 18th century. This means that it happened around the 1850s.

Romanticism included the visual arts, literature and included education. Intellect was always included in this era plus others. The people who lived during this time wanted to learn about art and appreciated the art and literature that was being created during that time. Nature was also appreciated during this time. Romanticism focused on individualism and supernaturalism. It did not believe in emotional restraint.
