Where is the fuel stored inside a plane?

For a flight, a plane burns about five gallons per mile. So, if a flight covers one thousand miles, it has used 5,000 gallons of fuel. For international flights, more fuel is used per mile. Therefore, many gallons of fuel are needed on a plane and it needs to be stored. There are several tanks on a regular commercial plane. In the belly of the plane, many people think that the luggage fills up the entire belly of the plane.

However, there are fuel tanks in this part of the plane plus there are fuel tanks in the wings of the plane. These wings are quite large and they are not thin because they carry fuel. Since the plane needs thousands of gallons of gas, it must be kept in different places on the plane.
