Will computers ever get smarter than humans?

Computers can take in and process different kinds of data much faster than we can. They can process data in their "brains," made of processors, and perform calculations to conjure multiple scenarios at superhuman speeds. Computers learn much more quickly, too, lessening complex choices to the most optimal ones. Computers have better memories so that they can be fed a plethora of information, and they can tap into all of it almost immediately.

Computers don't need to sleep the way humans do. Computers can calculate, investigate, and perform tasks around the clock. Computers are more accurate at showing a wide range of high-value functions than we can as humans. They are not affected or influenced by emotions, feelings, wants, or needs. On the other hand, computers can be programmed with a vast majority of information, but they can't experience life as humans do.

First of all, computers are devices that are created by humans. Humans are smarter than computers because of this fact. Computers know to the extent that we know, no more, no less, and can only do things that we instruct them to do. Computers, however, are much quicker than us. They can do things in a few seconds that take us humans days, months, or even years to accomplish. Although, technology is more superior now.

However, it needs to be said that people and their brilliant minds behind all these advancements computer experts are now aiming to implant computer chips in the human brain. Having computers that think like humans might be either a good or bad thing. Perhaps, artificial intelligence can be the ultimate cyber security tool we can use against hackers.

Even though it may seem that computers have stronger capabilities and functions than humans, at this point they are not considered to be smarter than humans. Sometimes, computers can do things that some humans can’t do or they are faster at doing certain things. However, there are many things that computers can’t do that human beings can do.

Computers at this point can’t think for themselves since they do not have a brain inside of them. They can’t solve problems if you asked it a question. It can only recite the information that has been plugged into it regarding a certain topic. Therefore, it seems that computers may be smart, but they will never have the thought processes and reasoning that human beings have.
