If you're intending to ingest the rose petal extract, use vodka in places of rubbing alcohol.

In a glass container, combine 1 part rose petals, and 4 parts of alcohol. Fill the rest of the container with water. Allow this to steep for about a week, take out some of the old petals and replace with new ones. The more you replace the petals, the more fragrant the extract will be.
