    Narrator: The plants reproduction is produced by seed plants. The male sex cells which are formed in the male apparatus of the seed-bearing plants are produced by pollen grains. These serve as the fertilizing bodies. The process by which these grains are transferred to the flowers pistil and unite with the female egg is called pollination. The ovary contains the potential ovules and a stalk with a pollen perceptive tip called stigma. This swollen base is consisted by the pistil. It forms a pollen tube that grows down through the pistil and into the tube fuses with the egg cell of the ovule, fertilization takes place.  The ovule will then develop into a seed. Other plants have flowers with both stamen and pistils are proficient of self-pollination.  Some of the plants are called universal; they have either the stamen or the pistil.  Fertilization in this kind of plants can be achieved by cross-pollination.
