Don't talk about stereotypes.
Focus on individual people rather than generalizations.
Let students talk about stereotypes until they get tired of the topic.
Ask students to list all of the stereotypes they've heard.
Teachers can feel lucky that students all share the same language.
It will be difficult to motivate students to use English if they share a language.
It will be easy to plan lessons because students share a common background.
Even within the same country, students can come from very different backgrounds.
Download the video to your laptop, and carry the laptop to class.
Take the class to an Internet cafe to watch the video on your laptop.
Assign the video as homework.
Download the video and send it to your students' iPhones.
Quiet students are more respectful than loud students.
Outgoing, loud students love their teacher more than quiet students do.
Love and respect have no relationship to student behavior in the classroom.
If your students love and respect the teacher, they always behave well.
Avoid sensitive topics. Children are too young to deal with differences.
Everyone is the same around the world.
Leave these lessons for home, not English class.
Children understand what is fair and unfair from a very young age, and are open to new ideas.
