I believe your quiz question on max working amps for 12 gauge is incorrect. From my years working with electrical and studying NEC, 12GA was always stated to have a capacity of 25 amps at 75 degrees for RHW, THHW, etc., and an allowable load/interruption of 20 amps. You could split hairs, and start analyzing temperature, inductive loads, aluminum wire, etc., but 16 amps is not standard practice as per your test question. Can you further clarify how you arrived at 16 amps as the correct answer?
