Sociologists however study culture into two categories, material culture and non-material culture. They say that material culture pertains to the physical objects, spaces and resources that people opt to use to define their culture like schools, mosques, temples, homes, products and goods. These aspects are believed to affect the perceptions and behaviors of the community. On the other hand, non-material culture consists of their ideas and several processes that a culture uses to define their members. That would include their thoughts, behaviors, feelings, values, norms, languages and the like.
