1. Is this phishing or real?

Explanation

This is a phishing attempt. The email address (very spammy), the multiple recipients and also the content of the email. In addition to this, the grammar, syntax and punctuation is poor. No contact is ever going to let you know that they have new pictures on a website. It is a blatant attempt to get you to click on the links.

3. Is this a phishing email or is it real?

Explanation

It is phishing. This can be identified by several things:
* Firstly, the email address - this is not a WhatsApp email address.
* Secondly, they have not changed the year at the bottom of the page.
*Thirdly, this is a phone app. Surely this is something that could be retrievable through the App?

4. Is this real or phishing?

Explanation

This is real.

The email tells you information is going to be sent to your personal address and provides information only, whereas any spam/scam would be asking for you to submit personal details. The email also provides information to security information about the bottom of the email.

Bank emails can be hard to distinguish, although there are still tell-tale signs. First, no bank is ever going to send you an email requesting password information so you can discard all these. Similarly, if you are getting emails from banks that you have never been with or do not have account with, these can also be discarded.

The key is to checking the email address and the links in the email to check these are legitimate, which you can find in the Plusnet guide how to do.

You may find that phishing attempt bank emails also have poor grammar and address you as 'Dear Customer' rather than by your actual name. Again, if you are unsure, make sure to visit the website of the bank and contact them directly to question the information before clicking anything.

5. Is this email a phishing attempt or is it real?

Explanation

This is difficult to tell. Firstly, if the person is someone you've had contact with or that you know then it could be a legitimate plea for help. However, on the flip side their account could be compromised and this could be a simple attempt to obtain money from you. The email has poor levels of punctuation, usually a good identifier for a phishing attempt.

The simple way to find out is to contact that person by other methods should you be able to. You could even respond back asking something only you would know about this person but only as a last resort. Never hand over any details or financial information without verifying this person is who they say they are first.
