Understand how overtime is determined and calculated for employees. Be familiar with the requirements for designating an employee as exempt. Be familiar with FLSA regulations related to minors in the workplace. Be familiar with FLSA required recordkeeping practices. Be familiar with common FLSA mistakes that employers make.
It is important that members of management and human resources are aware of the impact of FLSA on workplace wage and hour practices.
