The focus of the course is to highlight the relationship between the pelvic floor muscles, the pelvic ligaments, the bony anatomy of the pelvic girdle, the hip joints and the thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine and how these relationship present themselves orthopedically. Often there is some mystery about what a pelvic floor specialist does differently from an orthopedic therapist and this course will help to shed some light on what some of those commonalities and differences are. The course will highlight some external approaches to the assessment of the pelvic floor/pelvic girdle via videos, pictures and descriptions and we will conclude with case studies to help tie some of these concepts together.
