Course Description: 3 Hours (.3 CEUs)This course provides an introductory understanding of the cervical spine while taking into consideration signs and symptoms associated with serious pathological conditions. The intent of this course is to add upon current clinical reasoning skills as supported by evidence-based literature concerning the anatomy, evaluation, and treatment of the cervical spine. This course is presented in online PowerPoint format, which includes audio lecture and video demonstration of techniques that can be immediately implemented into practice upon completion.

 Course Objectives:Following completion of this course, the learner will demonstrate:
-Identify pathoanatomical structures of the Cervical Spine
-Describe the importance and principles pertaining to the arthrokinematics of sub cranial and cervical spine
-Recognize key signs and symptoms associated with serious pathological neck conditions
-Explain evidenced-based physical therapy practice including the diagnosis, prognosis, and assessment as it pertains to the cervical spine
-Apply reasoning behind evidence-based interventions including manipulation, mobilization and exercise in order to facilitate improvement in functional outcomes.
