In addition to the discussion essay, create a literature unit to be used with the book you selected. Include, at a minimum:

Materials list (graphic organizers, student journals, etc.
Timeline of activity
List of higher-level questions to be used in the unit
Identification of how students will be evaluated
 
Present your unit in a format you would use to present the unit to students. Provide clear instructions, appealing age-appropriate graphics, and grading rubric. Support all of your ideas with citations from your readings. Use the GCU eLibrary for additional peer-reviewed articles that can be used in support of your content.
While APA format is not required for literature unit, solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a grading rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
Submit both parts of the assignment as one deliverable to the instructor.
