Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) was put together by the Council of Europe and is recommended by European Union Council as the system of validation of language ability. 

The Certificate A1 holder:
a)  can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type;
b)  can introduce himself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he lives, people he knows and things he has;
c)  can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

The Exam consists of 4 parts:
1. Reading: 2 tasks, suggested time: 15 minutes;
2. Writing: 2 tasks, suggested time: 15 minutes;
3. Listening: 1 task, suggested time: 5 minutes;
4. Grammar & Vocabulary: 1 task, suggested time: 5 minutes.

You need just 40 minutes to complete it. Be online all that time.

Max. score: 80 points; you pass the Exam if you get 56 points (70%).
