All Guide activity currently occurs in the Google Docs below.

1. Guide's Individual Google Doc (titled "Guide: your name"). This Doc link will be shared with you individually
2. Mahalo Guides: New Page containing a list of the new pages available for a Guide to claim and write Google Docs will be replaced with formal tools on Mahalo.com in the coming months. Thank you for your patience as we build these tools.

Guides can choose up to half of the pages that they create. The other half will be chosen from a predefined list of specific pages Mahalo provides. However, Guides can choose to write entirely from Mahalo's list of pages if they prefer.

If you claim a "high priority" page on the new pages Google doc, it must be done the same day that you claim it - preferably within a few hours of claiming it. Medium priority pages need to be completed within two days, and regular priority pages within one week.

A portion of all new pages Guides write are reviewed. Please thoroughly review How To Write a Mahalo Page that explains how your pages will be reviewed. The QC system is led by Susan MacDowell (@ssmacd on Mahalo and [email protected]. A QC reviews consists of:

1. QC Score
2. A note on whether or not the page needs to be addressed
3. QC comments

Place "In Progress" next to a page that you have claimed on the main "New Pages" spreadsheet, and "Review" when it has been completed and is ready for QC. The "Review" status will be changed by the QCer to "Done" if no additional work is needed. On the other hand, the QCer will change the status "Redo" if additional work is needed.

If the status of a page has been changed to "Redo" on the "New Pages" spreadsheet, check your individual spreadsheet for feedback. If a "Y" has been entered in the "Redo" column, review the comments and make the requested edits. If you are limited to a specific number of pages, you must wait for outstanding pages to be approved in the QC process before claiming additional pages.
