Acknowledgement indicates that you, as a training participant have been advised & understand the following.
AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING OF ANY PART OF THE VIRTUAL TRAINING EVENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
All participants must be licensed in the mental health field.
If not licensed, participants must be participating in masters level coursework, be currently on a licensing track and are supervised by a licensed clinician with the appropriate letter on file. If not currently licensed, a signed letter from the licensed, supervising clinician, including his/her license number, must be emailed as an attachment to email@example.com. The letter should include the statement, “I supervise the clinical work of (your name).”
CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE: A CE certificate will be issued only to those who attend the entire training and participate in the practice exercises on all 3 days, where trainees will provide and receive EMDR procedures under small group supervision.
The practice experience is for educational purposes only & not for personal therapy.
Participants presently engaged in personal therapy should seek permission from their therapist before participating in this training.
Participants who presently have a dissociative disorder should not participate in practicum exercises without discussing this with training facilitators in advance of the practicum and adhering to any suggested recommendations.
Participants with limiting or special medical conditions (for example, pregnancy, heart condition, ocular difficulties) should consult their medical professionals before participating and alert facilitators.
A target memory explored in the practicum may be linked to unexpected or disturbing memories.
Since the processing of targeted incidents may continue after the training, other dreams, memories, etc., may surface. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the participant to seek and obtain appropriate assistance. Providing such assistance is not an extension of the training.
Clinicians who wish to continue with personal EMDR therapy work can use the EMDRIA.org “Find an EMDR Therapist” link or other means to identify a trained EMDR therapist.
CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING COMPLETION: Certificates will be issued only to those who complete Parts 1 and Part 2 of the training and 10 hours of case consultation with an EMDR Advanced Training approved consultant. All components of the training must be completed within a two-year period.
WEBSITE REFERRAL LISTING: Upon completion of the Basic Training (Part1 + Part2 + 10 hours of consultation), participants will automatically be added to the EMDR Institute online referral listing. You can request removal from this listing at any time.
