Senses Assessment


Sit in an easy and comfortable position and close your eyes. Review the last 24-hours from this moment backwards.  Watch your life as though it were a dream.  Pay attention to your tactile experiences — what you saw, heard, smelled, felt and tasted.  When you are finished with your internal review, write down what you ‘consumed’ over the last 24-hours.  Try not to think about it to hard.  Just write down what sticks out the most.  When you are finished writing down what you consumed, ask yourself: ‘Can your sensory input be different?  Should it be different?  Why or why not?’ .  This is to help you understand how what you consume through your senses, might be influencing how you feel, and empower you to make different choices if it will help you feel better.  Remember that, in ayurvedic healing we manipulate our sensory input in order to enhance a better feeling, thinking and being state.  The first step is to simply observe what we are already consuming.
